Agrarians of Uzbekistan started harvesting grain crops, declared the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on June 11.
According to the Ministry, in the current season agrarians planted grains throughout the areas of more than 1 mln ha.
The domestic demand for milling wheat totals over 4 mln tonnes, and with the carry-over stocks - 5 mln tonnes, noted the Ministry.
In 2013 agrarians of Uzbekistan produced 7.61 mln tonnes of grains (with the yield of 5.5 t/ha), against 7.17 mln tonnes in 2012 (5.2 t/ha).
