According to the monitoring of agricultural producers realized by experts of APK-Inform Agency, the Crimea almost completed the harvesting campaign of winter barley.
According to agrarians of the region, the grain yield varies within the range of 3-4 t/ha, up nearly 2 times compared with the last year indices. Such results were caused by more favorable weather conditions observed on the peninsula during the period of grain ripening.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine informed that the planted areas of winter barley in 2014 in the Crimea totaled 75.7 thsd ha.
