As of July 1, 2014, Tajikistan produced 246.4 thsd tonnes of grains, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan.
As of the reporting date the average grain yield totaled 2.98 t/ha. Generally, the planted areas reached 291.8 thsd ha.
It is noted that agrarians of the country continue re-planting grains, and planted grains throughout 32.4 thsd ha, from the planned areas of 74.7 thsd ha.
According to the forecasts, in 2014 Tajikistan plans to harvest 1.3 mln tonnes of grains, including 890 thsd tonnes of wheat.
