The Government of Ukraine expects that in the current year total grain harvest in the country will be not less than 55 mln tonnes, despite the current low prices for grains, announced Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Prime Minister of Ukraine, on August 19.
We should note that the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center forecasts grain production in Ukraine in 2014 at the level of 63 mln tonnes or even more, and in the August forecast of the US Department of Agriculture estimated grain harvest in Ukraine at 58.5 mln tonnes.
