In 2017/18 MY, Kazakhstan will reduce its grain production volumes to 17.5 mln tonnes, informed the International Grains Council (IGC) in its June report.
According to the announcement, the beginning stocks of grains will reach 3.9 mln tonnes. In previous reports, the IGC experts provided the same figures. Also, in 2016/17 MY the reserves were lower by 0.7 mln tonnes compared with the current season.
Therefore, the total supply in Kazakhstan will reach 21.5 mln tonnes. In the previous season, the total supply totaled 20.8 mln tonnes.
In the reporting period, the imports of grains to Kazakhstan will total 0.1 mln tonnes, as in many previous years.
In 2017/18 MY, the exports of grains can reduce by 7.9 mln tonnes, against 8.2 mln tonnes in 2016/17 MY.
