The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation expects that the general grain harvest of grains in Russia in 2017 will not become lower compared with the last year level, declared the Head of the Ministry, Maksim Oreshkin on August 31.
According to him, in July the figures of agricultural production in the country reduced by 3% compared with last year, due to slight shifting of the harvesting campaign dates. In fact, cold weather conditions in the spring and early summer had an impact on many indicators, including the dynamics of agricultural production. Despite a slight negative value in July, the officials expect that the harvest volumes in 2017 will not reduce compared with the last year volumes.
