In the current year, Russia will harvest nearly 116-117 mln tonnes of grains in clean weight, declared the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Alexander Tkachev on September 22.

To date, agrarians harvested grains throughout over 80%, and the final figures of 116-117 mln tonnes of grains are absolutely real, said the Minister. He called the forecasted results as very good.

As a reminder, last year the harvest totaled 120 mln tonnes, in 2014 the figures totaled 112 mln tonnes, in 2010 the figures - nearly 70 mln tonnes. Therefore, Russia do not always harvest over 100 mln tonnes of grains. Much depends on how well the weather conditions and other factors make its impact, stressed A.Tkachev.

At the same time, he said that quite good harvest result had a significant impact on the pricing policy in the market segment. The current prices for grains can not become lower, because it would be rather unfair level. And in many regions, especially in Siberia and the Urals, the prices already reduced below prime cost.

As for the qualitative features of grains, A.Tkachev said that in the current year milling wheat formed 75% of harvested wheat volumes, up 7% compared with last year.
