As of October 12, Ukraine planted winter grain crops for the harvest-2018 throughout the areas of 5.724 mln ha (79% of the plan), reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
In particular, the planted areas under winter wheat totaled 5.111 mln ha (83%), winter barley - 477 thsd ha (52%), and rye - 161 thsd ha (84%). Agrarians already planted winter rapeseed throughout 820 thsd ha (106%).
Also, Ukraine continued harvesting late grain crops. Agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout 155 thsd ha (85%), and produced 173 thsd tonnes of the grain. The average yield totaled 1.12 t/ha.
As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested 77 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 52 thsd ha (93%), with the yield at 1.47 t/ha.
Agricultural producers continued harvesting corn for grain, and already produced 6.688 mln tonnes. The harvested areas reached 1.546 mln ha (34%), with the yield at 4.33 t/ha.
In addition, Ukraine harvested 9.737 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 5.016 mln ha (84%), with the average yield at 1.94 t/ha. The production volumes of soybeans reached 2.365 mln tonnes, the yield - 1.82 t/ha, and the harvested areas – 1.296 mln ha (65%).
