According to preliminary figures, in 2017 Ukraine harvested 61.283 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 14.495 mln ha, declared the State Statistics Service. The average yield totaled 4.23 t/ha.
In particular, last year agrarians harvested 26.11 mln tonnes of wheat with the average yield of 4.11 t/ha, 24.11 mln tonnes of corn for grain with the average yield of 4.12 t/ha, 8.279 mln tonnes of barley with the average yield of 3.31 t/ha, 506.8 thsd tonnes of rye with the average yield of 2.97 t/ha, 471 thsd tonnes of oats with the average yield of 2.39 t/ha, 180 thsd tonnes with of buckwheat with the average yield of 0.98 t/ha, 63.9 thsd tonnes of rice with the yield of 5.05 t/ha, and 1.1 mln tonnes of peas with the average yield of 2.65 t/ha.
