Kazakhstan harvested over 1.3 mln tonnes of grains — Ministry of Agriculture
As of August 9, Kazakhstan harvested 1.38 mln tonnes of grains. The average yield totaled 1.93 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In particular, Jambyl oblast harvested 558.8 thsd tonnes of grains; Almaty oblast — 452.8 thsd tonnes; Turkistan oblast (formerly South Kazakhstan oblast) — 246.2 thsd tonnes; West Kazakhstan oblast — 73.7 thsd tonnes; East Kazakhstan oblast — 38.8 thsd tonnes; and Kyzylorda oblast — 10.5 thsd tonnes.
Generally, the harvested areas in the country reached 714.8 thsd ha, or 37.9% of the plan.
