As of September 17, Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the general areas of 32.3 mln ha (in 2017 — 34.8 mln ha), or 69.6% of the plan. The production volumes reached 88.2 mln tonnes (110.4 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.73 t/ha (3.17 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 19.9 mln ha, or 72.9% of the plan. The average yield totaled 3.11 t/ha, and the production volumes reached 61.9 mln tonnes. Also, Russia harvested 15.3 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 6.6 mln ha, or 79.2% of the plan. The average yield totaled 2.32 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 3564 thsd ha, or 14.3% of the planted areas. The production volumes totaled 1.2 mln tonnes, while the yield — 3.27 t/ha.

Russia started harvesting rice, and already produced 116.5 thsd tonnes of the grain. The harvested areas reached 18.6 thsd ha (10.3%), with the yield at 6.25 t/ha.

Agrarians continued harvesting sunflower seed, and already produced 1.1 mln tonnes of the oilseed. The harvested areas reached 572.1 thsd ha (7.1%), with the yield at 1.92 t/ha.

In addition, rapeseed harvested areas reached 675.4 thsd ha, or 42.7% of the plan. The production totaled 1.1 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1.62 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 1.1 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout 589.4 thsd ha (20.1% of the plan). The average yield totaled 1.8 t/ha.

Also, Russia harvested 8.6 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 250.4 thsd ha, or 22.2% of the plan. The average yield reached 34.53 t/ha.

At the same time, Russia already planted winter crops for the harvest-2019 throughout the areas of 8.4 mln ha, or 48.7% of the forecast (in 2017 — 7.8 mln ha).
