Kazakhstan harvested over 14 mln tonnes of grains — Ministry of Agriculture

As of September 27, Kazakh agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 11.377 mln ha, or 75.7% of the plan. The production volumes totaled 14.774 mln tonnes, with the average yield of 1.3 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In particular, the main producing regions of the country — Akmola, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan oblasts — harvested grains throughout 66.2%, 87.2% and 73.6% of the planned areas, respectively. Agrarians of Akmola oblast produced 3.087 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 1.08 t/ha; while Kostanay oblast — 3.896 mln tonnes, with the yield of 1.1 t/ha; and North Kazakhstan oblast — 3.362 mln tonnes, with the yield of 1.63 t/ha.

Also, East Kazakhstan, Almaty and Akmola oblasts still had to harvest grains throughout the remaining 10-25% of the plan, while Karaganda, Kyzylorda and Pavlodar oblasts already harvested grains throughout more than half of the areas — 56-60%. So, Almaty oblast harvested 842 thsd tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 2.33 t/ha; Karaganda oblast — 776 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.2 t/ha; East Kazakhstan oblast — 604 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.48 t/ha; Pavlodar oblast — 511 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.16 t/ha; Aktobe oblast — 412 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.04 t/ha; and Kyzylorda oblast — 233 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 4.33 t/ha.

As a reminder, Turkistan oblast already completed the harvesting campaign and produced 369 thsd tonnes of grains, with the yield of 1.76 t/ha; and West Kazakhstan oblast — 163 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 0.67 t/ha. Also, Jambyl oblast almost completed the harvesting campaign, and harvested 577 thsd tonnes of grains throughout 93.2% of the planned areas, with the average yield of 2.41 t/ha.
