In January-September of 2018, households of all categories in Belarus produced agricultural commodities at 13.9 bln BYN in money terms, or 97.7% in comparable prices to the level of the same period of 2017, and agricultural organizations produced commodities at 11.3 bln BYN (down 2.3%), reported the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus (Belstat).
According to the announcement, agricultural organizations almost completed the harvesting campaign of grains and pulses (without corn). So, as of October 1 Belarus harvested 5.3 mln tonnes of grains with the average yield of 2.63 t/ha, as well as 1.394 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 34% of the planned areas, with the yield of 41.4 t/ha.
Also, Belarus continued planting winter crops for the harvest-2019. As of the reporting date, agricultural organizations already planted winter crops for grain and green feed throughout 1.224 mln ha, up 9.8% compared with the same date last year. In addition, the planted areas under winter rapeseed reached 381.7 thsd ha.
