As of October 23, Ukrainian agrarians already planted winter grains for the harvest-2019 throughout the areas of 6.8 mln ha (95% of the forecast), reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

In particular, the planted areas under winter wheat reached 5.9 mln ha (95%), winter rye — 114 thsd ha (78%), and winter barley — 819 thsd ha (94%). Also, agrarians planted winter rapeseed throughout 1 mln ha (114%).

At the same time, Ukraine continued harvesting grain crops. As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested 54.5 mln tonnes of grains throughout 13 mln ha (88% of the plan). The average yield totaled 4.19 t/ha.

In particular, agrarians harvested 19.5 mln tonnes of corn for grain throughout 2.8 mln ha (62%), with the yield of 6.82 t/ha; buckwheat — 131 thsd tonnes throughout 104 thsd ha (96%), with the yield of 1.26 t/ha; and millet — 74 thsd tonnes throughout 48 thsd ha (92%), with the yield of 1.55 t/ha.

In addition, Ukraine harvested 12.8 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 5.7 mln ha (95%), with the average yield of 2.23 t/ha; and soybeans — 3.9 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout 1.5 mln ha (89%), with the yield of 2.54 t/ha.

Also, Ukraine harvested 8.9 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 184 thsd ha (66%). The average yield totaled 48.4 t/ha.
