Russia harvested over 114 mln tonnes of grains — Ministry of Agriculture

As of November 6, Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the general areas of 43.9 mln ha (in 2017 — 45.2 mln ha), or 97.7% of the plan. The production volumes reached 114.2 mln tonnes (135.2 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.6 t/ha (2.99 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians harvested wheat throughout 26.3 mln ha, or 99.1% of the plan. The average yield totaled 2.79 t/ha, and the production volumes reached 73.4 mln tonnes. Also, Russia harvested 17.6 mln tonnes of barley throughout 7.9 mln ha, or 98.6% of the plan. The average yield totaled 2.24 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 2 mln ha, or 79.3% of the planted areas. The production volumes totaled 9.4 mln tonnes, while the yield — 4.84 t/ha.

Agrarians continued harvesting rice, and already produced 1.1 mln tonnes of the grain. The harvested areas reached 167.8 thsd ha (92.7%), with the yield at 6.54 t/ha.

Also, Russia produced 11.4 mln tonnes of sunflower seed. The harvested areas reached 7.3 mln ha (91.1%), and the yield — 1.58 t/ha.

In addition, rapeseed harvested areas reached 1.5 mln ha, or 94.8% of the plan. The production totaled 2.1 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1.43 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 3.6 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout 2.3 mln ha (84.5% of the plan). The average yield totaled 1.55 t/ha.

Also, Russia harvested 38.7 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 1 mln ha, or 94.4% of the plan. The average yield reached 36.94 t/ha.

At the same time, Russia already planted winter crops for the harvest-2019 throughout the areas of 17.6 mln ha, or 102.1% of the forecast (in 2017 — 16.7 mln ha).
