As of April 18, Kazakhstan planted spring spiked grains throughout the areas of 343.3 thsd ha, or 2.4% of the planned figures (14.344 mln ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In particular, to date southern oblasts of the country started planting grains — Jambyl (183.1 thsd ha), Almaty (102.5 thsd ha), and Turkistan oblasts (47 thsd ha). Also, Kyzylorda (3.4 thsd ha) and East Kazakhstan oblasts (1.2 thsd ha) started planting grains.

At the same time, Kazakhstan started planting corn for grain. As of April 18, the planted areas already reached 3.3 thsd ha, while the plan totals 152.3 thsd ha.

As for oilseeds, agrarians planted the crops throughout 103.4 thsd ha, or 3.6% of the plan (2.866 mln ha).
