As of August 8, Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 17.8 mln ha (in 2018 — 17.5 mln ha), or 38% of the forecast. The production volumes reached 60.5 mln tonnes of grains (in 2018 — 58.1 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 3.4 t/ha (in 2018 — 3.33 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians harvested 49.8 mln tonnes of wheat throughout 13.8 mln ha (49.1%), with the yield of 3.61 t/ha. Also, Russia harvested 8.4 mln tonnes of barley throughout 2.6 mln ha (29.9%), with the yield of 3.18 t/ha.

Agrarians still continued harvesting winter rapeseed, and as of August 8 the areas reached 180.9 thsd ha (11.6%). The production volumes reached 425.1 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 2.35 t/ha.

In addition, Krasnodar Krai harvested soybeans throughout 1 thsd ha, and produced 1 thsd tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1 t/ha.

In addition, Russian agrarians harvesting sugar beet — 513.5 thsd tonnes throughout 11.9 thsd ha, with the yield of 43.15 t/ha.
