In 2019, the general harvest of wheat in Russia will increase by nearly 3 mln tonnes compared with the previous year (72.1 mln tonnes), declared the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Patrushev on September 11.
According to the Minister, it is the positive moment, which will allow meeting the domestic demand, and realizing the export potential.
Generally, D.Patrushev estimated the harvest of grain crops in Russia in 2019 at the previous stable level of 118 mln tonnes. At the same time, last year the figures reached 113.3 mln tonnes. But in the current year, the harvest will slightly improve, the Head of the Ministry said.
