As of September 1, 2019, the general production of spring grains and pulses in all categories of agricultural households (agricultural organizations, farmers, population) of Russia reached 83.1 mln tonnes in bunker weight, an increase of 5.8% compared with the same date last year, reported the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) on September 17.
According to the announcement, agricultural organizations, which concentrated 65% of the areas under grains and pulses (without corn), already realized the harvesting campaign throughout 66.4% of the plan (in 2018 — 64.4%). The harvest volumes of grains totaled 58.8 mln tonnes (in 2018 — 56.1 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 3.11 t/ha (30.5 t/ha).
In particular, wheat production in agricultural organizations reached 42.3 mln tonnes of the reporting volumes, against 41.2 mln tonnes on September 1, 2018. At the same time, the average yield of the grain totaled 3.4 t/ha, against 3.48 t/ha last year, Rosstat specified.
