As of October 7, all categories of agricultural households in Ukraine already harvested over 10 mln tonnes of corn for grain throughout the areas of 1.6 mln ha, or 33% of the forecast. The average yield totaled 6.24 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
At the same time, agrarians harvested all types of grains and pulses throughout 11.8 mln ha (77%). The production volumes reached 49.9 mln tonnes, with the average yield of 4.22 t/ha.
In particular, Ukraine harvested 77 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 58 thsd ha (87%), with the yield of 1.32 t/ha; and 144 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 76 thsd ha (85%), with the yield of 1.89 t/ha.
Also, agrarians harvested 11.7 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout the areas of 4.9 mln ha (84%), with the yield of 2.37 t/ha. At the same time, the production of soybeans reached 2.6 mln tonnes, with the areas of 1.1 mln ha (69%), and the yield of 2.37 t/ha.
As of the reporting date, Ukraine continued harvesting sugar beet, which areas already totaled 70 thsd ha, or 32% of the forecast. The production volumes reached 3.1 mln tonnes, with the yield of 44.7 t/ha.
In addition, Ukraine planted winter grains throughout the areas of 4.7 mln ha, or 65% of the forecast. In particular, the areas under winter wheat totaled 4.2 mln ha (68% of the forecast), winter rye — 92 thsd ha (75%), and winter barley — 419 thsd ha (46%).
Also, Ukrainian agrarians planted winter rapeseed throughout 1.1 mln ha, or 96% of the plan.
