As of October 31, Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 44.6 mln ha (in 2018 — 43.9 mln ha), or 95.3% of the forecast. The production volumes reached 122.2 mln tonnes of grains (in 2018 — 113.7 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.74 t/ha (in 2018 — 2.59 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians harvested 77.6 mln tonnes of wheat throughout 27.5 mln ha (98%), with the yield of 2.82 t/ha. Also, Russia harvested 21.5 mln tonnes of barley throughout 8.5 mln ha (96.6%), with the yield of 2.53 t/ha.

Russian agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 1.8 mln ha, or 70.8% of the forecast. The production volumes totaled 10.9 mln tonnes, with the yield of 5.98 t/ha. Also, agrarians continued harvesting rice: the production volumes reached 1.2 mln tonnes, the harvested areas — 177.3 thsd ha (91.3%), and the average yield totaled 6.67 t/ha.

At the same time, agrarians already harvested sunflower seed throughout 7.3 mln ha (85.4%), and produced 13.5 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield at 1.86 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, Russia already planted winter crops for the harvest-2020 throughout 18 mln ha, or 102.8% of the forecast (in 2018 — 17.5 mln ha).
