Russia harvested over 124 mln tonnes of grains — Ministry of Agriculture

As of November 14, Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 45 mln ha (in 2018 — 44.3 mln ha), or 96.2% of the forecast. The production volumes reached 124.7 mln tonnes of grains (in 2018 — 115.2 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.77 t/ha (in 2018 — 2.6 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians harvested 77.7 mln tonnes of wheat throughout 27.5 mln ha (98.1%), with the yield of 2.82 t/ha. Also, Russia harvested 21.5 mln tonnes of barley throughout 8.5 mln ha (96.6%), with the yield of 2.53 t/ha.

Russian agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 2.2 mln ha, or 83.3% of the forecast. The production volumes totaled 13 mln tonnes, with the yield of 6.04 t/ha. Also, agrarians continued harvesting rice: the production volumes reached 1.2 mln tonnes, the harvested areas — 188.3 thsd ha (97%), and the average yield totaled 6.54 t/ha.

At the same time, agrarians already harvested sunflower seed throughout 8 mln ha (93.9%), and produced 14.8 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield at 1.85 t/ha.

Agrarians continued harvesting rapeseed, and as of November 14 the areas reached 1.4 mln ha (91.1%). The production volumes reached 2.2 mln tonnes, with the yield of 1.57 t/ha.

In addition, Russia harvested soybeans throughout 2.7 mln ha (88.7%), and produced 4.4 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1.64 t/ha.

Also, agrarians harvested 52.1 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 1.1 mln ha (96.8%), with the yield of 46.96 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, Russia already planted winter crops for the harvest-2020 throughout 18.1 mln ha, or 103.6% of the forecast (in 2018 — 17.6 mln ha).
