As of November 1, 2019, the general production of grains and pulses in all categories of agricultural households (agricultural organizations, farmers, population) of Russia reached 122.1 mln tonnes in bunker weight, an increase of 7.9 mln tonnes compared with the same date last year, reported the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) on November 19.
According to the announcement, as of the beginning of November Russia already harvested grains and pulses throughout 95% of the areas, including corn for grain — 76.3%. Agrarians harvested sunflower seed throughout 87.1% of the areas, and sugar beet — 86%.
In particular, sunflower seed production reached 13.9 mln tonnes, against 11.6 mln tonnes on November 1, 2018. Sugar beet production reached 43.9 mln tonnes, up 24.1% compared with the same date last year.
