As of August 13 Ukrainian farmers harvested 36.7 mln tonnes of grains and pulses from 9.3 mln ha (61% of the total areas), reported the press-service of the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.
In particular, wheat harvest totaled 25.5 mln tonnes from 6.3 mln ha (96%), barley – 8.6 mln tonnes from 2.4 mln ha (99%) and peas – 508 thsd tonnes from 234 thsd ha (99%).
Besides, the production of rapeseed was estimated at 2.5 mln tonnes and the area harvested at 1.07 mln ha (96%).
In general, Ukrainian farmers harvested 39.2 mln tones of grains, pulses and rapeseed (+3.9 mln tonnes per week) from 10.4 mln ha.
“Currently, more than a half of the oblasts completed harvesting of wheat and barley (15 oblasts), peas (16 obl) and rapeseed (16 obl)” – according to the report.
