As of August 20, agrarians of Russia harvested sunflower seed throughout 27.2 thsd ha or 0.3% of planted area, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The production volumes reached 35.1 thsd tonnes, with the average yield of 1.29 t/ha.
Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 25.9 mln ha (53.9%). The production volumes reached 86.1 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 33.3 t/ha.
“In particular, agrarians harvested 64.9 mln tonnes of wheat throughout 17.9 mln ha (61%), with the yield of 3.62 t/ha. Also, Russia harvested 14.7 mln tonnes of barley throughout 4.9 mln ha (57.9%), with the yield of 29.8 t/ha”, - was stated in the message.
Agrarians continued harvesting winter rapeseed, and as of August 20, the areas reached 369.4 thsd ha (25%). The production volumes reached 875.7 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 2.37 t/ha.
In addition, agrarians of Krasnodar Krai harvested 854.2 thsd tonnes of sugar beet throughout 20.2 thsd ha, with the yield of 42.24 t/ha.
Farmers of Russia planted winter crops throughout 481.8 thsd ha, or 2.6% of the forecast.
