Kazakhstan harvested 7 mln tonnes of grains as of early September

As of September 1, farmers of Kazakhstan harvested grains and pulses throughout more than 5.8 mln ha (37.3% of the plan). The production volume reached 7 mln tonnes with the average yield at 1.22 t/ha, informed the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

“Jambyl oblast planted 359.3 thsd ha with grains and pulses and completed the harvesting campaign at the start of the third ten-day period of August. The production volume reached 816.6 thsd tonnes here, up 136 thsd tonnes compared to the last year due to the extension of the planted area by 26 thsd ha and increase of the yield by 0.23 t/ha to 2.27 t/ha”, - was stated in the message.

As of September 1, West Kazakhstan and Turkistan oblasts completed the harvesting campaign by 95% compared to 75% as of the same date the year ago. The average yield was 1.13 t/ha and 2.38 t/ha correspondingly.  

“Farmers harvested grains and pulses throughout more than 50% of the planned area in Almaty oblast, 23-43% - in Akmola, Aktobe, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan oblasts”, - was stated in the message.
