Some farms have started planting early spring crops in southern regions of Belarus, declared the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Ivan Krupko on March 24.
“Few households of southern region started planting early spring grains. Farmers are 93-95% ready for field works. It allows to complete planting campaign in due time”, - he said.
Central regions are more than 90% ready for field works.
“We can forecast the yields when the average temperature will be +5-7°C. The conditions of winter crops are not fully clear. There are some damages, but in line with the norm of 5-7%”, - the Minister added.
