Grain harvesting 87% completed in Ukraine




As of November 5, Ukrainian farmers harvested 67.8 mln tonnes of grains and pulses with the yield of 4.91 t/ha throughout 13.8 mln ha (87% of the plan), informs the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

Ukraine continues harvesting corn. Farmers harvested 22.8 mln tonnes of corn with the yield of 6.82 t/ha throughout 3.3 mln ha (61% of the plan). 2 oblasts have already completed corn harvesting.

Agrarians harvested 109.9 thsd tonnes of buckwheat with the yield of 1.32 t/ha throughout 83.3 thsd ha (99%) and 182.8 thsd tonnes of millet with the yield of 2.36 t/ha throughout 77.6 thsd ha (100%).

Additionally, agrarians harvested 14.7 mln tonnes of sunflower seed with the yield of 2.38 t/ha throughout 6.2 mln ha (95%), 3.23 mln tonnes of soybean with the yield of 2.64 t/ha throughout 1.22 mln ha (95%). 10 oblasts have already completed sunflower seed and soybean harvesting.

Besides, farmers harvested 8.8 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 187.9 thsd ha (83%).
