Under a pessimistic scenario, Ukrainian agrarians will reduce planted area under winter wheat, rye and barley by about 20% this year, the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky said on September 19, Ukrinform reports.

"Under a pessimistic scenario, if there are interruptions with exports or something else, 20% less area will be planted with winter wheat, barley and rye", – he said.

T. Vysotsky added that this year's winter rapeseed area was forecast at the level of the last year.

He also noted that agrarians in the de -occupied territories, in particular in Kharkiv oblast, would also have time to plant winter crops.
