Elena Skrynnik, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, noted that as of November 28, 2011, the country harvested 97.8 mln tonnes of grains and leguminous crops in bunker weight (in 2010 - 63.7 mln tonnes, in 2009 - 101.9 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 23.2 c/ha. Agrarians still have to harvest maize for grain throughout 290 thsd ha.

Agrarians harvested 59.4 mln tonnes of wheat (winter and spring) in bunker weight (in 2010 - 43.5 mln tonnes, in 2009 - 63.4 mln tonnes). The average yield totaled 23.7 c/ha.

Production volumes of barley (winter and spring) totaled 17.7 mln tonnes in bunker weight (in 2010 - 8.9 mln tonnes, 2009 - 18.7 mln tonnes) throughout 100% of the planned areas. The average yield totaled 22.8 c/ha.

E.Skrynnik stressed that in the current year, due to establishment of broad measures of the state support, agrarians received record harvests of sugar beet, sunflower, soybean and rapeseed.

Russia harvested 8.5 mln tons of sunflower seeds (in 2010 - 4.8 mln tonnes, in 2009 - 5.8 mln tonnes). The average yield of the oilseed totaled 13.4 c/ha (in 2010 - 9.4 c/ha, in 2009 - 11.6 c/ha).

The country also produced over 1 mln tonnes of rapeseed as opposed to 667 thsd tonnes in 2009, and 1.6 mln tonnes of soybean (in 2010 - 1.2 mln tonnes, in 2009 - 827 thsd tonnes).

Besides, Russia produced rather good harvest of buckwheat - 819 thsd tonnes of the grain, up 255 thsd tonnes compared to 2009.

The country produced 5.8 mln tonnes of maize for grain in bunker weight (in 2010 - 2.7 mln tonnes, in 2009 - 3.1 mln tonnes). The average yield totaled 43 c/ha (in 2010 - 28.3 c/ha, in 2009 - 35.2 c/ha).

Agrarians harvested rice throughout the areas of 206 thsd ha (98% of the planned areas). The production volumes totaled 1.2 mln tonnes (in 2010 - 1.1 mln tonnes, in 2009. - 978 thsd tonnes) with the average yield of 57.9 c/ha.
