According to the operative data, as of June 17, Russian farmers planted spring grains throughout the areas of 29.6 mln ha or 101.1% of the forecast, declared the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
“In particular, farmers planted wheat throughout 13.1 mln ha (103.2%), barley - 7.4 mln ha (96.4%), corn for grain - 3 mln ha (106.2%), rice - 189 thsd ha (98.5%)”, - was stated in the message.
Farmers planted spring rapeseed throughout 1.4 mln ha (111.1%), sunflower seed - 9.1 mln ha (106.9%), soybean - 2.9 mln ha (93.6%).
Generally, Russian farmers planted spring agricultural crops throughout 51.6 mln ha or 100.3% of the forecast.
