Lowering of air and soil temperatures at the end of the first ten-day period of July was very favorable for all crops in Ukraine, Ukrhydrometcenter informed.

The experts said that that had been deficit of rains across entire Ukraine during the whole ten-day period. Many regions did not have efficient precipitations during 25-30 days.

High temperature of soil and air speeded up development of crops. Late crops were developing actively and 1-2 weeks ahead of multiyear average pace.

Lack of precipitations and fast losing of soil moisture worsened conditions for development of late crops, particularly corn and sunflower seed.
