As of October 15, Belarusian agrarians planted winter grain crops throughout almost 1.41 mln ha or 100.1% of the planned areas (1.408 mln ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus. The planted area exceeded the figure as of the same date last year by 58 thsd ha.
Moreover, agrarians harvested corn for grains throughout 42 thsd ha or 19.7% of the planned areas. The production volumes reached 281.2 thsd tonnes with the average yield of 6.69 t/ha.
Generally, farmers harvested nearly 8.23 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 3.73 t/ha, up from 7.268 mln tonnes and 3.31 t/ha in 2019.
