As of October 1, 2020, Russia harvested 121.9 mln tonnes of grains and pulses, up 12.1% compared to the same date year ago, reported the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

According to the announcement, agricultural enterprises that cover 64.1% of the overall planted area under grains and pulses harvested crops throughout the areas of 26.4 mln ha, or 92.1% of the planned areas. Area remained unharvest was about 6.5% taking into account crop loss during summer and use a part of crop for forage.

The agricultural enterprises produced 82.4 mln tonnes of grain as of October 1, with the average yield of 3.12 t/ha. Particularly, wheat output reached 59 mln tonnes with the yield of 3.37 t/ha.

Corn for grain was harvested throughout 549 thsd ha (27.9 % of the plan). Production volume reached 2.5 mln tonnes with the yield of 4.6 t/ha.

The agricultural enterprises harvested sunflower seed throughout 2.4 mln ha (245.5% of the plan). Output reached 12.1 mln tonnes with the yield of 1.84 t/ha.

Sugar beet was harvested throughout 355 thsd ha (41.7% of the plan). Production volume reached 12.1 mln tonnes with the yield of 34.1 t/ha.
