As of August 23, 2021, Russia harvested grains and pulses throughout 29.9 mln ha (63.6% of the plan) up by 13.5% compared to the same date year ago, reported the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).
Production volume totaled 84.7 mln tonnes of grains and pulses (in initial weight), down 3.2%, including 62.2 mln tonnes of wheat, down 5%.
The average yield of grains and pulses was 2.83 t/ha (3.32 t/ha in 2020), wheat - 3.13 t/ha (3.61 t/ha).
