As of November 3, Ukrainian farmers harvested grains and pulses throughout 8 mln ha or 72% of the planned area. Production volume reached 32.6 mln tonnes with the average yield at 4.7 t/ha, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy informed.
Currently, they are harvesting late crops:
- 1.1 mln ha of corn for grain (27%; 6.3 mln tonnes, 5.54 t/ha);
- 111 thsd ha of buckwheat (95%; 151 thsd tonnes, 1.36 t/ha);
- 42.6 thsd ha of millet (95%; 98 thsd tonnes, 2.31 t/ha).
Moreover, farmers harvested 4.1 mln ha of sunflower seed area (87%). Production volume reached 9 mln tonnes with the yield of 2.2 t/ha. Agrarians reaped 1.3 mln ha of soybean. Production volume reached 3.1 mln tonnes of with the yield of 2.39 t/ha.
Farmers harvested 6.4 mln tonnes of sugar beet with the yield of 48.8 t/ha reaped from 131.4 thsd ha (73%).
