As of December 15, Ukrainian farmers harvested grains and pulses throughout 9.85 mln ha, which is 88% of the planned area. Production volume reached44.91 million tons of grain were collected with an average yield of 45.6 t/ha, Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported.
Currently, farmers are harvesting late crops:
94 mln ha of corn for grain (70%; 18.41 mln tonnes, 6.27 t/ha);
- 115 thsd ha of buckwheat (98%; 157.4 thsd tonnes, 1.37 t/ha);
- 42 thsd ha of millet (98%; 99.5 thsd tonnes, 2.3 t/ha).
Moreover, farmers harvested 4.61 mln ha of sunflower seed area (98%). Production volume reached 10.07 mln tonnes with the yield of 2.18 t/ha. Agrarians reaped 1.52 mln ha of soybean (99%). Production volume reached 3.7 mln tonnes of with the yield of 2.42 t/ha.
Farmers harvested 8.97 mln tonnes of sugar beet with the yield of 5 t/ha reaped from 179.4 thsd ha (100%).
