In 2019/20 MY, Ukraine to increase the production of grains and oilseeds — UGA

Analysts of the Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) revised their forecast of the production and exports of grains and oilseeds in 2019/20 MY in Ukraine, and forecasted the further growth of crops production to 97.7 mln tonnes, as opposed to the August forecast of 95.2 mln tonnes, reported the press-service of the UGA on September 11.

At the same time, the analysts specified that to date, there are no expectations for increasing of the exports. Thus, the figures remained at the level of the August forecast — 58.2 mln tonnes.

All major grain crops faced changes in the forecast. In particular, the harvest of wheat can increase to 28.3 mln tonnes (against 27.7 mln tonnes in the August forecast), barley — 9 mln tonnes (against 8.6 mln tonnes), corn — 35.4 mln tonnes (against 34.5 mln tonnes).

As for oilseeds, the UGA analysts forecast the growth of soybean production to 4.3 mln tonnes (against 4.1 mln tonnes in the August forecast). Rapeseed production will remain almost at the level of the August forecast — 3.1 mln tonnes.
