As of September 20, all categories of agricultural households in Ukraine already harvested 42.4 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 10.6 mln ha, or 69% of the forecast. The average yield totaled 4 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, agrarians harvested 2.7 mln tonnes of corn throughout 452 thsd ha (9%), 65 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 48 thsd ha (71%), and 131 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 71 thsd ha (79%).
Also, agrarians harvested 7.5 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout the areas of 3.4 mln ha (58%), with the yield of 2.21 t/ha. At the same time, the production of soybeans reached 1.5 mln tonnes, with the yield of 2.29 t/ha, and the areas of 675 thsd ha (43%).
As of the reporting date, Ukraine started harvesting sugar beet, which areas already totaled 17 thsd ha or 8% of the forecast. The production volumes reached 791 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 45.43 t/ha.
In addition, as of the reporting date Ukraine planted winter grains throughout the areas of 1.6 mln ha, or 22% of the forecast. In particular, the areas under winter wheat totaled 1.5 mln ha (24% of the forecast), winter rye — 52 thsd ha (42%), and winter barley — 61 thsd ha (7%).
Also, the planted areas under winter rapeseed reached 984 thsd ha, or 92% of the forecast.
