Ukraine: Government forecasted the growth of trade surplus in 2020-2022




The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the decree #555 "On approval of the Forecast of economic and social development of Ukraine in 2020-2022" dd. May 15, 2019, according to which the trade surplus balance will grow from 13.78 bln USD in 2020, to 14.92 bln USD in 2021, and 16.11 bln USD in 2022.

Also, the document provides the second option of the macroeconomic indicators for 2020-2022, which estimate the growth of the trade deficit from $13.96 bln USD in 2020, to 15.60 bln USD in 2021, and 17.25 bln USD in 2022.

It was noted that the Government worked out the forecast for the scenario, based on the analysis of development of the domestic economy in 2016-2018 period, the current economic situation, as well as estimations taking into account the influence of external and internal factors.
