Realization of "Federal Scientific Technical Program of Agriculture Development for the Period of 2017-2025”, worked out by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, jointly with the Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations (FASO Russia), will allow increasing production in the Russian agro-industrial complex by 25% by the indicated date, declared the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Jambulat Khatuov on June 22.

According to the announcement, the industry will achieve the reporting figures through the usage of seeds from new domestic plant varieties and pedigree stock, as well as through establishment of innovative technologies for production of high-quality forages, animal feed additives, medicinal products, agricultural processing and storage.

Also, the Federal Program will reduce the high dependence of domestic agricultural commodity producers on imported technologies, which to date totals more than 80%, added J.Khatuov. The document provides staged formation of sub-programs in certain segments.
