On October 1, 2017, the European Union's regulation to increase the temporary autonomous trade preferences for Ukraine entered into force following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. The decision shall apply for three years.

Thus, the additional trade preferences provide additional zero-tariff quotas for the following Ukrainian agricultural products: oats - 4 thsd tonnes, corn and corn flour - 625 thsd tonnes, barley and barley flour - 325 thsd tonnes, wheat and wheat flour - 65 thsd tonnes.

In addition, there were the quotas for barley groats - 7.8 thsd tonnes, honey - 2.5 thsd tonnes, prepared or preserved tomatoes - 3 thsd tonnes, and grape juice - 500 tonnes.
