Russian seaports transshipped for export less than 300 thsd tonnes of oilseeds and by-products in May

According to APK-Inform data, Russia exported 296.5 thsd tonnes of oilseeds and by-products during May 1-31 via river and sea ports, down by 1.2 times compared to the previous month (360.2 thsd tonnes, considering the data update).

Sunflower seed and by-products export totaled 162 thsd tones, including 102 thsd tonnes of sunflower oil (down by 24%), 59 thsd tonnes of sunflower meal (down by 1.7 times) and 1 thsd tonnes of sunflower seed (no shipments in April).

The export of soybean and soybean by-product totaled 110 thsd tones, including 40 thsd tonnes of soybean oil (up by 1.5 times), 67 thsd tonnes of soybean meal (up by 9.8%) and 3 thsd tonnes of soybean (down by 1.6 times).

The export of rapeseed by-products totaled 24 thsd tonnes (down by 22.3%), including 7 thsd tonnes of rapeseed oil (down by 2.5 times) and 17 thsd tonnes of rapeseed meal (up by 25%). There were no shipments of rapeseed in May and April.

The main export destinations of Russian oilseeds and by-product in April included Turkey (71.3 thsd tonnes), Iran (24.9 thsd tonnes) and Italy (22 thsd tonnes).

Since the beginning of a current season, port of Rostov-on-Don was a leader in shipments of oilseeds and by-products (1.48 mln tonnes). Port of Kaliningrad (1.4 mln tonnes) took the second place and port of Taman (0.6 mln tonnes) took the third position.
