Ukraine: weather impact on agricultural crops in the first ten days of October 2019




In the first ten-day period of October 2019, the weather conditions in Ukraine developed in terms of interchange of the high atmospheric pressure areas (with the outbreak of cold Arctic air), when the country faced the high-index cooling period to rather severe frosts not only on the soil surface, but also in the air, as well as the series of atmospheric fronts in the second half of the reporting period, when the increase of air temperature figures throughout the country and rains came to the country territory. Also, there were significant fluctuations of the average daily air temperatures — from 5-8°C below the standard to nearly 5-6°C above the standard.
