Due to extreme weather conditions, analysts of APK-Inform Agency forecast the reduction of rapeseed production in Ukraine in 2012, reported Rodion Rybchinskiy, Head of the department of business-projects of APK-Inform Agency, at the conference "AgroResurcy - 2012" on February 9.
According to estimations of APK-Inform Agency, taking into account losses of agricultural crops sowings, in the spring the sowing areas under winter rapeseed crops in 2012 will total no more than 650 thsd ha (the minimum for 6 years) from the initial harvesting areasof 960 thsd ha. Thus, the share of crop deaths will exceed the level of 30%.
The general harvest of the oilseed will total 1.1 mln tonnes, a decrease of 18% compared to 2011.
