The agricultural sector provides nearly 25% of foreign exchange earnings from export trading to the economics of Ukraine, declared Nikolai Prisyazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on January 8.
According to him, Ukrainian food already became the integral component of the global food security. And it happened not only due to the leadership in the grain and oilseed groups. Ukraine also continues increasing the exports of finished agricultural commodities.
N.Prisyazhnyuk added that the Government is working to bring Ukrainian agricultural commodities to every country of the world, so every year Ukraine opens new markets. During 11 months of 2013 the turnover of agricultural products totaled almost 23 bln USD. And during the period the exports of agricultural products reached 15.4 bln USD, which witnesses that Ukraine continues increasing the exports and, more importantly, expanding the commodity range, concluded the Minister.
