Ukraine: grain stocks totaled nearly 22 mln tonnes – State Agricultural Inspection
As of January 1, 2014, grain stocks at the certified granaries of Ukraine totaled 21.896 mln tonnes, up 22% compared with the same date last year, informed Vladislav Goncharenko, Chairman of the State Agricultural Inspection of Ukraine on January 14.
In particular, as of the reporting date the stocks of milling grains to totaled 5.86 mln tonnes.
As for the qualitative characteristics of grains, V.Goncharenko reminded that in 2013/14 MY the certified grain storehouses received nearly 10 mln tonnes of new crop wheat, including 73% of 1-, 2-, 3-grade wheat.
