The current price situation largely determines the interest of Ukrainian agrarians in cultivation of peas and efficiency of the reporting market segment. The analysis of dynamics of the domestic prices for peas in Ukraine during 5 recent seasons shows that the general price trend is bullish, with characteristic busts in the beginning of each season. Since the beginning of the reporting period (July 2008) until the last month of 2012/13 MY (June 2013) the price for peas in Ukraine increased by nearly 74%, and reached 2845-2887 UAH/t, depending on the delivery terms. At the same time, the minimum bid price for peas (1096 UAH/t) was observed in June 2009.
