UAH devaluation led to decreasing of the purchasing ability of the population and companies, and as a result, to decreasing of trading activity on the agricultural market, declared the State Enterprise National Research and Information Center for Monitoring International Commodity Markets (hereafter – Derzhzovnishinform) on March 4.

According to the announcement, the majority of owners of large-scale commodity cargoes agree to provide the transactions only if the sale of commodities is realized in foreign currency, UAH contracts are not concluded at all. Traders expect for increasing of UAH grain prices on the domestic market.

Most export-oriented companies increased the purchasing prices for 3-grade and 2-grade milling wheat on EXW basis to 1800-2050 UAH/t and 1850-2120 UAH/t, respectively. At the same time, the UAH prices on the domestic market were just declarative, as there were no transactions. The price of milling wheat on the basis FOB deep-sea ports of the Black and Azov Seas totaled 270-285 USD/t.
