APK-Inform Agency invites you to take part in the thirteenth international conference "Grain Forum - 2014: new markets, challenges and opportunities", which is traditionally held on the eve of the new season - on June 16-18, in Odessa (hotel Bristol).
The season-2013/14 is somewhat unique and difficult period for participants of the grain market of Ukraine. Despite the factors which could negatively affect development of the Ukrainian grain market in the current season - weather disasters, infrastructural and logistical challenges, the government regulation, the legislation base, financial and political components - Ukraine managed to realize its breakthrough on the global grain market.
In 2013/14 MY Ukraine produced the record grain harvest. According estimations of APK-Inform analysts, the general harvest totaled 63 mln tonnes, an increase of 36% compared with 2012/13 MY. In terms of rising of grain production, the export potential increased by 43% compared with the previous season, and totaled nearly 32 mln tonnes.
What the next season-2014/15 will be like? The first estimations of the condition of winter crops areas, and the forecast of agro-climatic conditions for the spring planting works of early grains, allow expecting for the good harvest in Ukraine in 2014. But despite the fact that the weather factor is still the key one, there are still many other factors determining development of the market. The market members will be able to estimate the prospects of the new season and summarize the outgoing one within frames of the Grain Forum.
